Beautiful location, lots of activities close by, in bad weather, hotel is quite self sufficient for the whole family.
1. The restaurant for dinner closes at 9.30 pm! 2. The spa was 'full' supposedly, and they didn't try and accomodate us. It should be mentioned in the booking process that the spa needs prior reservation.

I recently stayed at this luxurious 4-star hotel and I can't say enough positive things about it! The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in a beautiful forest and right on a tranquil lake. It was such a delight to wake up every morning and be surrounded by such natural beauty. The service was top-notch, from the friendly reception staff who spoke perfect English to the attentive cleaning lady who made sure my room was spotless. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy sitting area where I could unwind after a long day of exploring. The free Wi-Fi in the room was an added bonus, allowing me to easily stay connected during my stay.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

The Lake
That the maid never came and cleaned the room or the towels changed in 4 days. I had to ask for the towels to be changed and get them myself. The bar staff were lazy and ignorant. Not customer facing in any way

The gym and indoor pool were totally awesome and we had a blast playing bowling. And guess what? We also got to chill on the terrace, which had the most epic view ever! We even took a walk to Biersdorf am See, this super cool village by the reservoir. And for all the adventure junkies like us, there were so many activities like hiking, biking, rowing, and fishing. Plus, we found a sick garden and playground for more fun times. Total teenage paradise!
The only thing we wished for was a happening party scene. Like, we wanted a place where young people could hang out, dance, and have a great time.

The hotel is set in a beautiful wooded valley overlooking a lake. It has a range of reasonably priced sporting and leisure activities, two restaurants and a traditionally themed German bar. The staff were helpful, attentive and patient with our limited language skills. The resort is peaceful and quiet. There is something for all age groups for a relaxing or active holiday. The pool and spa are well appointed, with good facilities, a warm pool looking out to the lake, deep and long enough to swim for exercise. There is a shallow pool for infants alongside. We had fun in the bowling alley, played tennis and badminton and table tennis. We stayed in an oak tree cottage.
The cottage easily accommodated 5 with one person sleeping in the living area. It was a little cold at night due to storage heaters cooling down in the evening. We had a double booking for one activity which we had to resolve between us. Be aware that the cottage was120 steps up from the hotel centre and 60 above the parking area so would not suit anyone with limited mobility. Some vending machines were defective and not repaired during our short stay. Note also that you have to pay to light the indoor tennis court. Not all notices are translated to english although it is used commonly between the various nationalities.

Well-run; great facility; very clean; nice restaurant "Marketplace"; cozy bar "Bit Stube". Outstanding location at the Bitburg Stausee; nice hiking paths. Very quiet -- ideal for relaxation.
Didn't like that they changed to "Buffet Only" in main dining room - no a la carte menu anymore. Also restricted menu now in Marketplace restaurant -- but OK. Extra fee for using sauna and whirlpool. Reception staff missed a lot of things: didn't give us pool access cards; didn't tell us about availability of getting breakfast buns delivered; didn't tell us how to get firewood for the fireplace in our cabin; didn't give us the vouchers for the "Zaubertrunk" welcome cocktail. We found out about those items from other guests or overhearing the reception staff speaking to other guests.

We had an unforgettable stay at this hotel. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the facility was impeccably clean with impressive hotel amenities. Parking was easy and we appreciated the free transportation to the nearby small lake. The staff was extremely helpful throughout our stay.
Nothing, all great.

This was our second time at the Dorint Seehotel. And this time, we chose to stay in the apartment section. The apartments were very comfortable although the kitchen facilities could use some updating. Still, the layout of the rooms, the spaciousness and the balcony with it view of the lake were perfect for our family weekend. We are already considering when our next trip back will be.
The hallway connecting the hotel to the apartments were not heated and the lifts sometimes did not work.
